The Whiskey Route to the Roof of Africa
A six-day climb-only ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro via the scenic and popular Machame Route.
The Machame Route (nicknamed the "Whiskey Route") is Kilimanjaro's most popular path for good reason: excellent scenery, a strong acclimatization profile, and a genuinely high summit success rate.
This is a climb-only package — no safari extension — ideal for travelers who want to focus entirely on the mountain, or who are adding their own safari or Zanzibar days separately.
Begin the climb through lush rainforest to your first overnight camp.
Ascend through moorland with sweeping views of Kibo peak.
A climb-high, sleep-low acclimatization day past the dramatic Lava Tower.
Cross the Barranco Wall and continue to high camp in preparation for the summit push.
A midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, followed by descent to Mweka Camp.
Final descent to Mweka Gate and a celebratory certificate presentation.
